About Dr. Foodman
Dr. Allan Foodman, M.D., attended the University of Miami Medical School and is a graduate of the Menninger Schools of General Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychoanalysis.
Prior to entering Private Practice in Sarasota, Florida, he was a staff psychiatrist at the C.F. Menninger Hospital and an instructor in the Child and Adolescent Training Program.
In the Sarasota and Bradenton areas, Dr. Foodman established and served as Director of the Sarasota Palms Inpatient Service for children and adolescents as well as the Manatee Palms Residential Treatment Center. Dr. Foodman also volunteered as a child and adolescent psychiatrist for the Manatee school system for twenty five years.
Dr. Foodman has permanently relocated his residence to Charlotte, NC where is now a practicing Charlotte child psychiatrist and adult psychiatrist.
Dr. Foodman includes exercise and diet as a fundamental aspect of his work. He collaborates with Benjamin Foodman who uniquely provides psychological treatment in combination with sports performance enhancing techniques.
